A portrait of Mr. William Henry Bliss (US district attorney in St.Louis 1876-1887 and director of The Metropolitan Museum of Art) by Princess Elisabeth Vilma Lwoff-Parlaghy ( Brachfeld) 1863-1923. The Hungarian born portrait artist was known to have painted over 120 prominent Americans and Europeans including president Theodore Roosevelt, Elisabeth Queen of Belgium, Otto Furst Bismarck, Edward VII - King of England, General Daniel Edgar Sickles, Admiral George Dewey, Nikola Tesla all exhibited at the" Manhattan Hall of Fame" exhibition in 1923.
